One of the many Yellowlegs in the cove this morning. I have re=calibrated the autofocus with better results I think. Thanks for the tip about the horizon with reflections.

Hi Ken, good job on the capture! I am still seeing just a bit of rotation for the image, CCW just a tad. You could probably bring up the mid-tones of the image with a levels or curves adjustment. I like the intent feeding pose and the reflection works well. The focus looks great to me, I think you solved that problem!

Definitely like the 2nd post a lot more. The first also had a spot in the water on the left edge of the frame which was distracting. But 2nd post is a great shot: lovely lighting, reflection & water pattern

Nice reflection. I might try to bring up the contrast on the dark feathers with white spotting at the back of the bird.

FYI, this is a Greater Yellowlegs. The bill is long, stout at the base, pale at the base, and slighly upcurved. The head also looks large in comparison to the eye to me, whereas Lesser appears smaller headed and bigger eyed.

Lovely warm light Ken, and a very nice, strong reflection. The only thing I would consider is giving a bit more room than you have to the top, and a bit less to the bottom.

    Ken,

Loverly bird with a stunning pose. Reflection is great. I would only add watch the desire to over work image with contrast and saturation. Many folks like to really boost this part of the image and to each their own, just my two cents. What is your sharpening workflow. This is a great moment in nature, very serene, thanks for sharing.
