    Early one morning at Ft. DeSoto, black skimmers were landing in a tidal pool and gave me lots of opportunities for nice flight poses over calm water in the soft dawn light.

    Love this composition Linda and the pose of the Skimmer - Great detail and exposure is spot on. The all important catchlight pin-points the eye in that dark head!! One to be proud of!!

    Great action Linda. I think that you can apply another round of USM to the bird in order to improve the result but is just my taste.

    I too agree about sharpening, but everything else is just wonderful! Great compostion. I like the slightly rippled water.

    I like it as presented One fine skimmer image Love the reflection on the water and back to the bird Also like being able to see the eye clearly Big Congrats on this one Linda !!!!

    Hi Linda,

    Love the pose and light on this one. Looks a little soft in my monitor but nothing you can't fix!
