To shoot these formations you need very early or late light otherwise they lose their detail very quickly.
This was not an easy place to put a tripod but I thought it was a bit different than many compositions I've seen.

Dave, this is an interesting shot...are they rock formations? Salt formations? I like the graduated color to the sky...the subtle effects on the formations was nicely handled...the balance of the composition was wonderfully handled...there's not much not to like! I might consider toning down the whites on the largest foreground rock just a bit...my eye keeps wandering back to it...but that may just be me. Nicely done!

Different view indeed, Dave! Sweet light and I like the reflection. Not sold on the foreground though. Nicely seen & done.

Wow, love the comp, filtering and subject, Dave! Where was this taken? Something makes me want the FG to have similar lighting to the rest of the image. It's almost as if the shadow is intruding/distracting. Could just be me.

Excellent composition, Dave. Pb has brought out nice details... the reflection and the colors are awesome. The shadow does intrude a bit; I guess more so because of the filter. Cropping a bit of the bottom may take care of it.

Interesting formation and great light on this, Dave. Good composition and nice job bringing out the texture with filtering.
