Here's the opposite of my first abstract post This was an IR image of a ginger plant leaf beside my front door. I cropped to get a geometric shape and used Silver Efex Pro but I can't remember which effect. I've had this for about a year and never decided if I liked it or not. I just added Nik Color Efex ND effect. It reminds me of some modern art that has many different variations of white.
Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions appreciated.

Cheryl, I like the simplistic design and the monochromatic look. I might clean up the two spots on the main vein if it were mine. Something completely different for sure! Nicely done.

Cheryl, this is fantastic! Few images have grabbed my eye like this, held my brain hostage for a few seconds, then revealed a structure that I missed at first look. Very nice, and I think it would make a wonderful print.

I do like the strong diagonal lines and agree with Denise regarding a minor clean up. Can quite imagine this hanging in some modern house, very nice.

Very nice simple & subtle, graphic abstract, Cheryl. Like the soft hint of texture - creative and unique!

Cheryl, I like this...I've found myself drawn to simple abstracts like this when photographing lotus petals, and it's not easy to pull off...but you've done a nice job with this one! Nice gradations of white, giving just enough detail to draw the viewer in...soft, subtle textures that compliment the diagonal lines..an effective, subtle treatment of the leaf. Nicely done!

Thanks everyone for your comments. I've kept it for a while and although I liked it I wasn't sure what other people would think. I appreciate your kind words.

Hi Cheryl. this has turned out really nice. I like it a lot. A very simple, yet very effective comp with the diagonals well placed. Lovely work!

Cheryl, I wanted to share with you the fact that some of my images that got the most positive comments were ones that I hesitated to post because I wasn't sure... I say post away, and let the chips fall where they may!
