I'm looking at it on a crappy monitor, but it's a beautiful image all around. I love the perch, and the soft colors are wonderful. Sharp, good HA and eye contact. What's not to like? I think you have a little halo on the upper part of the tree/bg select, that you might want to clean up, and maybe simplify the catch light. Considering the high ISO and crop, it looks like pretty good IQ. Congratulations on a lovely image.

    Thanaboon:

Good points from Ron. I think she is quite attractive, excellent head position, the perch, although very large, is dark enough to not over power her, and has some interesting detail.

I do see the edges of some of your selections, as mentioned by Ron, and you may be able to refine your edges to eliminate them.

I shoot a D700 as well, and your noise level is pretty impressive at this ISO.

    cheers

Ditto all the pluses and minuses above. A nice crop from the bottom to somewhat of a pano would lessen the impact of the large, dark tree on the image.....

Artie, I learned something there -- taking 1/5 off the bottom makes a huge positive difference in the presentation IMO.

1/5th of the total height of the image? Lets see the repost. :)

Ok, with apologies to Thanaboon, I trimmed almost exactly 1/5 the height, with a small slice coming off the top to balance. Also trimmed a smidge off the right to make a 3/5 ratio. I like the slight pano look.

Thank you all so much for the comment.

Here I improve halo on the tree, made a more pano crop, the catch light is a bit tricky to do so I'll leave that for now.

Rockin. I like Ron's crop better as it eliminates the yellow blemish on the trunk :)

I didn't notice the yellow blemish until you mentioned it, thanks for pointing it out :D

I like the progression of changes to a very nice image. Looking good at ISO 3200!
