Default tucked in away from the wind

This semi-palm was hudled against a small piece of driftwood during a pretty stong wind storm on plum island

    I know it was taken with a Nikon D1x and a 300mm 2.8

but rest of exif is with the original on a dvd not here

Very nice pose, John. The contrast seems a little hight and too much negative space on the left.

Good exposure, detail and composition John, and you have achieved that all important catchlight in the eye!!

Love the pose but the BG is too busy and is taking away from your main subject!

You know I like how the bird kind of blends into its background, and though I can see how it might be distracting, it provides a sense of place, a bit about the bird's natural history (camouflage). I do however agree with Fabs on the negative space in the upper left.
