Another Spotted Sandpiper

I was about to post this, when I saw Ken Janes' post - but no matter - I'll post it anyway. This one was standing on an old lobster trap in the beach dunes on Brier Island, NS, in July. There was a large oof focus bush on the left, which I could only deal with by a rather tight crop, and I had to do a fair bit of bg cleaning up, which I'm still not totally happy about. But I felt that the pose of the bird and the rope curling aroud the foreground part of the lobster trap made it an OK image.

D7000, 300 f/4 AF-S + 1.7TC, ISO320, 1/400, f/6.7, hand-held.

Richard, beautiful capture of this interesting peep. Wonderful exposure and details and the calling pose is a big bonus. Bg is still a bit busy, but I don't mind this so much because it shows nice environment. I might crop just a tad from the right side. Lovely capture, nicely done!

Richard - I like this picture. Love the habitat and the old lobster trap as a perch is great. I like the way you resisted over saturating the image as well. Nice clean eye, eye ring and good detail. I like it as presented.
