    Taken at Cades Cove, Smokey Mountains, Tennessee. Cloudy morning White Tail. 50D, 1/100, f/5.6, iso 500, 100mm-400mm shot at 130mm, handheld.

    Gary,

    Well composed and alert look. I would prefer a bit more room at the feet but OK as posted. I would suggest a levels correction to set the white points higher and make the deer pop better.

    You were CLOSE to get this at 130 mm. Try Robert's suggestion to help with the cloudy day.

    My favorite animal on the planet and this one looks good. Nice comp, good sharpness, nice pose. I would love to see Roberts' suggestion applied.

    I like the comp and this is a nice looking buck. Looks pretty accurate for the conditions you describe. Lightening it up does improve it a bit. Depends on what you want to represent and either way works.
