Cody, way to go , this looks wonderful. Exposure looks right on and the pose is terrific. I really like the up wings and all the detail. I bet there are some hens watching him, or at least there should be! I would be tempted to crop a bit more on the right. TFS
Agree that this is great shot with exposure, colours & pose all lovely. Regarding the crop, my feeling is to have him a bit higher up in the frame - feels a little bit crowded at the bottom
Hi Cody, nice job capturing the mallard flap! Exposure looks great with nice control of the whites. Nice detail and color as well. I would suggest lightening the eye just a bit and I agree with Gordon on moving the bird up in the frame a bit. Well done!

Love the male, beautiful colors. I like the crop but need to lighten the eye. Nice job on whites and love the feather detail, nice pose too. Might add a tad to bottom, try it and adjust the eye in a repost,..thanks for sharing. There are some threads in the education forum on adding canvas.
So am I pretty bad with photoshop but here is my attempt. I don't necessarily like what happened to the eye but I do think it looks better. I added canvas to the bottom and he became fairly centered imo so I cropped just a smidge off the right.

Cody, I would say that you've done a good job with the changes. Maybe not perfect, but you definitely did the right things and with practice your PS skills will improve. Much better placement in the frame and the eye stands out a lot more.

Can't edit but I didn't crop off the right I cropped off the left.
