Great light, low angle, and exposure. Comp looks good but I might add a little space on the sides. Looks like a worn juvi short-billed to me.

    Keep them coming!

Wallowing is paying off. The light is great, detail is superb, love the pose and the bkgr. Is the end of the bill unusually shaped?

It is called Rhynckokinesis, the ability for some birds to flex their upper mandible.

Super light, color, detail. Wonderful pose. I've never seen them do this with their bill - thanks for explaining. Maybe a touch more room on the right.

Tack sharp, awesome pose and light. Lovely low angle causes such an intimate view of this beauty. Agree with more room on the sides, but do love it as presented. Nicely done!

haha I wonder if the itch is making the bird curl up its bill

I feel the bird's tail is just the tiniest bit too close to the edge of the frame.

Great light. Funny pose, where you show the movement of the beak tip.
