I am just packing my bags for a 3 month trip to Peru. Thinking about all of the great tropical birds made me want to post one from that part of the world. This is a Golden-breasted Hummingbird from the highlands of Ecuador that I hope you will enjoy.

    All the best!

Fantastic wing position and excellent detail!

If this is not full frame, would be interesting to see a looser crop without the clipped leaf.

Have a great trip and looking forward to seeing more amazing images!

    Glenn:

Great pose, wing position. Agree about the clipped leaf. I might also tone down some of the reflections off the leaves.

Have a great, safe and productive trip.

    Cheers

Agree with above about the crop. Excellent lighting. Natural or artificial BG?

A beauty of an image. Love the wing position and the flash work.. I agree about the loosed crop.
