It's quite amazing to have these beautiful birds fly by so close you can almost touch them, especially here in the middle of the state! Been observing two pairs of Spoonies making their nests at Gatorland, it's really cool stuff! This female had just picked up this palm seed branch from the South Lake and was flying back into the Rookery section almost at eye level. Taken from the catwalk on the Observation Tower.
