This started off as a simple landscape. PB/Oil, PB/LittlePlanet, Topaz adjust and a couple of textures.

Maureen, nice landscape! I love how the treeline blends in with the reflection in the lake. I like this a lot! Perfect image for the theme.

Wow, the colors and shapes really put this one over the top! It all flows together well too. I really like it!

Very cool abstract composition, Maureen, great color, shapes and flow. Looks like it could be a large canvas modern art painting. Kind of groovy!

    Perfect, Maureen!
Wonderful flow, colors and just enough left for us to imagine the landscapes tree(s) and water. One of my favorite abstracts.

It's a fine line we walk when we take a normal image into the abstract - you did it perfectly, Maureen! I can still tell what it (probably) was to begin with and yet it's so loose and flowing that it immediately takes the mind somewhere else. The texture and color puts it over the top.

Maureen, I love this! The flow and the concept of the image are just wonderful.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I'm not so sure I'm comfortable with abstracts, but it was fun to try

Maureen, I'm late to the party but I want to add that this is outstanding. Love the flow, the colors, and the super artistic way the shapes fit into the compostion. Very well done!

Congratulations. A well done abstract! I would never guess it was a photo.
