    Avian Violet Sabrewing

    These are seriously colorful birds.

    Many were whizzing around the garden at Cielito Sur but were very hard to capture.
    Most would hit the feeders and then disappear in the bamboo hedge close by.

    HA not the best and oh those difficult backgrounds...think the colors/details make up for that though?

    I do indeed wish for a better HA. As pointed out by you the BG is distracting too. Sharp though - nice details in the feathers. I find the contrast quite strong here. Very beautiful bird, thanks for sharing!

    HA is fine to me. The feather detail is awesome! Unfortunately the background is somewhat less than awesome

    Some amazing colours...... sharpness is super, alas BG's are not in our control. Would reduce the contrast a bit though.
