Morning at Fort de Soto in april. Guess head angle could have been a bit better. C&C very welcome.

Hi Svante, this is looking good to me. Head angle could be better as you say but not much else to mention other than nice pose, exposure, and composition. I might lower the contrast and evict the dark spots just below the bird's breast. Very nicely presented!

As stated above, I would tone down the contrast a bit and maybe crop off the out of focus bottom, other than than it certainly works for me.
I am told there are wild parrots at Fort de Soto. My brother lives in Orlando and visits often. I am planning a trip in the fall. Regarding the Curlew, Contrast might be high, moreover colors seem dark. Might have used a higher ISO to increase shutter speed and increased exposure range. Was point of focus on eye or back. On balance, nice shot and lovely background. Great moment in life and thanks for sharing, I might crop more from the bottom as well, all subjective stuff.
There are wild parakeets at Ft Desoto. I don't believe they are parrots, and you don't see them every time you go. There are places in St. Petersburg however where you can visit and be pretty much assured of seeing one or more.
As to the LBC, it's pretty bad when I can look at a thumbnail and be close to sure of where a picture was taken. I know this bird well, and boy is he ever a pose. I would take some off the bottom and maybe a tad off the right to compensate. Great you got the crab!!!
