This BSK came quite close to our safari vehicle and perched . Was my first trip to Kenya , and it was nice to see a familiar bird . This was taken late evening with bean bag support .

    Camera : Canon 400D
    Lens : Canon 600mm f4 IS
    Aperture : f5.6
    Shutters : 1/125
    Speed : ISO 800 .

    Cheers ,
    Rakesh

Absolutely lovely. If this was mine I would clone out the green branch that is just above his head.I like the square comp. His perch is great and shows off his talons very nicely. HA police will love this!!

Nice exposure and details. The red eye looks great and that is a perfect view of the talons. I wish the perch wasn't sawed off at the top, but it is nicely weathered so I can live with it. I realize you were probably stuck in the vehicle but I wish you could have been able to move left a bit to separate the kite from the BG vegetation. I also find the comp a bit cramped. All in all a good job though with this wonderful opportunity.

Nice exposure, you have great detail in the whites. Nice and sharp. As mentioned above I find the crop a bit cramped and do wish that branch wasn't right above his head, though I do realize there wasn't anything you could do about it. I like the perch and great head angle.

Wonderful capture, I could see a tad more room all the way around, seems a bit cramped.

The sun coming from behind really helped you bring out detail in the back without killing the white chest.

The capture is great. Love the perch and comp, and agree the upper branch is a little distracting. But what a gorgeous bird! I've never seen one, so thanks for the great look.

Well done Rakesh, the red eye is striking. I don't mind the old weathered perch at all.

Lovely pose, IQ and sharp details.
    Just love that red eye.
Don't know if this is full frame - if not, I'd go with a looser crop.
    Very well done.

Rakesh this is brilliant. Love the effect of the feathers behind the beak. The eye is magical.....well done.
