This one is a nice improvement over the previous image Mac. A little bit of fill flash would help get some extra light on your subject. I might remove the OOF twig behind the bird.
This one is way, way better. Just needs some eye doctor work. The subject looks well lit from here.

A bang up job! Great repost. A very cooperative bird I would say. Nice pose, head angle, catch light. I like the pink for color and the placement of the perch. Nice even light on the image. Very slight nit is the URC, not fond of the brownish smudgy looking area.
