This is another image that I recently dug up from my May 2008 visit to Burns, OR.
This is an example of the more attractive posts which were few and far between. Unfortunately, this one was much further from the road, hence the large crop.
I tried even tighter crops but kept coming back to this one.

Looking forward to your comments and critiques!

Wow, it must be Snipe day -- great minds think alike. Nice image with a nice clean BG. Nice head angle and sharp.

Pretty amazing. Now I' seeing three snipe pictures.
Love the pose, BG. and the perch looks good for this bird, Mike.
A vertical would work well too.

Great pose, like how the bird is hunched down a bit.
Agree, a vertical would work also.

    Mike,

A beautiful bird, pose, perch and background. It would look good vertical but I like the more traditional view. Nice to see someone visiting one of my favorite places.

Beautiful shot. The background really compliments the bird for me here. Great HA and nice and sharp. Great job.

Yes to a much nicer perch and a fine image with some fine detail lost. You need to replant the perch closer to the road.
