Hey Karl, just hit enter for my post above and went back to the forum and thought I was seeing double

Very nice portrait ... nice comp with with gorgeous BG and interesting one-legged pose.

Maybe tone down and/or decrease sharpening a bit on the lichen.

Very funny -- clearly took me too long to prepare my post since two Snipes showed up in the mean time! Nice image Karl, in fact taken from the same location.

Nice one-legged stance, crisp and clean image. I like the look of the open bill as well. Nice shot.

Lovely pose with the open beak and the one legged stance. Very nice bg and lichen adds some character to the perch. Nice comp too.
    I love this image.

Beautiful image, the open beak and stance adds a lot to the shot.

Hey Karl, great exp, great perch, and a one legged Snipe to boot For some reason I find the top of his head oblong?

Sharp with a good EXP and a nice one-legged pose. Singing bird interesting but detracts artistically. Perch possibly too weathered with the bark falling off....
