I tried to get a bird in, but it just didn't work.

Topaz detail & simplify, and ... Flood!()

Beautiful composition, Mitch. Awesome clouds and the sail looks good too... kind of dreamy sequence. The light seems interesting... coming from two different direction. The flood looks great! Thanks for sharing.

Mitch, those are some pretty spectacular looking clouds in the BG...they almost look like an ominous bank of fog moving in to swallow up the boat. If it were mine, I might crop a bit from the left....or add a bit to the right...to give the boat more room to move into the frame...but the colors are beautiful, the clouds are spectacular, and you've done a nice job processing the image. Thanks for sharing!

Mitch, Lovely look to this one! I like the clouds and the sailboat. I might go with a bit more room on top if it were mine and maybe soften the horizon just a touch. Nice work with the filters.

Surreal and striking image. Lovely silvery colors. I might lighten the sail to the left a bit. Thanks for sharing.

Love, love, love those clouds, and the flood effect too. I would love to see the ORIG.

    Arthur,

The original sail photo was from the '80s (scan from a Kodachrome) and was shot under a very white sky, so the pic was boring. The clouds were from a few weeks ago out the window of a Southwest 727.

Here are the originals. Simplify was used on both the clouds and the boat, but separately, and then Flood added at the end.

Thanks for looking and for your comments.
