nice low angle and smooth background! I would add some more room to the bottom if you have it for the "virtual feet"

I love the low angle, pose and the background. Very good job getting a sharp image at 1/200s,
there is a lot of detail on the bird.
The bird seems a little tight in the frame. If possible, I would add room more all around the frame.

Nice bird, lovely BG. He definitely needs more room below him.

Good low perspective, and you have done well to capture a sharp image at a relatively slow ss. I like the inclusion of the grasses, and would definately add some more room at the bottom.

I like the size of the bird on the frame but would have preferred to see it less centered. Maybe a wider crop would help too.

Beautiful bird with great setting and BG, and excellent detail!

Agree about more room at the bottom and would like to see the head angled a bit toward the viewer rather than away.

Thanks Geir, I would only crop from the bottom just above the reflection of the bird's ankle (that most folks think is the bird's knee). If you need help with that, let me know. I would not crop one pixel off from in front of the bird; it needs the space to look into.

EXP, SH, and bird are great but when a bird is angled towards you the best time to push the shutter button is when the bird's head is on straight (lined up with the body). Here, the head is turned away from the line of the body.

Do you ever create any side portrait field guide type images? Such images work very well for shorebirds.... Stuff like the image of a White-rumped Sandpiper here. Your shorebirds always seem to be standing awkwardly....
