    Default Double Catch Light

    Attached Images Attached Images

The same odd African Gray Goose, I posted a photo of last week, though this was taken this morning at the same
local pond. He is king there, twice the size of the other water fowl.
The catch light is in reference to the post of Arthur Morris the other day and the photography thread discussion resulting from it.
Clearly a double catch light here, I would not have noticed except for that thread.
    I like it.

    Dan:

Nice angle in frame, well exposed, like his unusual angle down from rump to shoulder.

Perhaps a sliver tight behind and to the left.

I get the double catchlights all the time on my loons, generally leave both, unless very close up, then will remove lower one sometimes.

    Cheers

I also like the unusual pose of the goose. I find the background a little distracting though.
I don't know if it's possible to do at that location but I would try getting very low to compress the
water in front and behind the bird and create a smooth background.

Good DOF Dan, and I really like the light and detail on the head and beak. Nice and sharp in that area too. I would maybe take a bit off the top.

Very nice IQ, Dan. Looks perfectly exposed with great sharpness, pose and dof.
A lower shooting angle, if possible, would have taken this up another notch.
+1 to Stu's suggestion of a bit off the top.
    Very nice work!
