    1/1250 sec, F 8.0, ISO 800

    Took this in the morning at one of my local beaches. Went for the background and waited the birds out. Thought this was quite different.

    Michael, your comp suits the pose, and I do like the 'umbrella' wing position. Good low angle, and I like the soft pastel colour of the BG. I would maybe run another round of sharpening on the bird.

    Nice angle and light.
    I like the water a lot also.
    I agree with the sharpening, but just a little bit.

    I agree, a bit of extra sharpening would work here

    Fantastic pose and beautiful water but head looks a bit soft. Looks like critical focus was on the shoulder.

    Agree with above, but WOW what a great pose you captured... very nice light as well.
