    Humberto:

Wonderful pose, shooting angle, prey item, eye.
Wish the wing was illuminated a bit more evenly. I do like side lighting to add definition and texture, but if the bulk of the wing were lit like the top portion, even stronger for me.

Were you shooting from a floating hide?

    Cheers

The heron is extremely appealing to be seen in such deep water. The bird not looking directly at its prey is interesting as well. The very low point of view is a great strength of the image as well. The brightness in the shadow of the bird's underwing is pleasing.

Humberto, excellent perspective, and just love the curved neck of the heron, together with his catch visible in the beak. The BG is sweet. Have you tried to bring out more exposure on the wing in pp? If it doesnt bring out noise, I feel its worth a try.

Despite the off-angled light this is my fave (though all are excellent). I just love the mostly submerged heron.

Thank's for your comments, in fact its not usual to see the grey heron in such deep water, I can tell you that in that place the water level is almost two meters...
If you notice its a different beaver of the heron, from 10 years ago, in that place there are a lot of a new specimen of fishes, they are millions, and they like the surface...The herons adapt to them and begum to catch them in deep water...my set is about it...
They fly over the water, when they see the fishes they lunch an attack using their big legs and grab the fishes on deep water...
