The day before I created this image I cursed the rain and dark weather for spoiling our day. Yet that bad weather did create a unique beautiful morning with thick mist at dawn. The rising sun, blocked by the thick mist created a lovely atmosphere with stunning colors, perfect timing of this male lion to appear from the bush...

I think a pano cropped to just above the bush line would be awesome.

    Hi Vincent,
Very strong as usual!!!........but I would go with a Pano crop.....but mine would be in the middle of the sky.

I'll third or fourth the crop :) Nice job. Moody and effective.

I wouldn't change a thing. The extra negative space on top looks balanced to me. I tried the crop and the image suffers, in my opinion.

I like it as is. The feel of openness and misty mood is emphasized by the full sky showing. At least to my eye any way.

Really moody and effective. I wouldn't go strictly pano. I'd go with the suggestion to crop some but not as much as some commenters suggest. As Ed noted, the sky adds to the feeling of openness and mood. I'd take no more than 15% off the top.

A nice image and great colors. The suggested pano crop would be killer.

Very nice vincent. Leave it as is, I agree with Fabs, the empty space at the top balances the image and makes the comp work. Its not a pano image.

Wonderful image Vincent - the fog and muted sunrise colors really work well. I'm in the "keep your current crop" crowd as I like the emotion that the extra negative space gives.
