Very nice, Mitch. Like the range of colors on the butterfly. I guess you desaturated/Simplify the bg and that made the colors in the reflection come out more prominent. Very artistic! Nicely done.

Yes, a good choice of bw bkgd against the colors of the butterfly--or is it bw???? The yellow and the slightly orange areas above the butterfly seem a bit odd in the bw arena. Nice technique, though.

Hi Mitch, the butterfly really pops against the neutral backround. I also like the fact the butterfly is on an angle and would have only wished for a bit more room on the rt. Nice use of the flood filter!

Hi Mitch........... Terrific use of the flood filter. Colors really pop. If it were mine I would de-saturate the slight color areas in the BG. Otherwise, this image is very appealing!

Hi Mitch, you are getting a lot of mileage from the flood filter! Nice use of it here with that lovely butterfly. I agree with suggestions regarding the bg, would be nice to have it all monochrome. Good one!

    Dave,

I agree, things are too tight. I have to go back and see if I can expand things a bit.

    Thanks.

    Kerry,

Thanks for looking. Actually, the background was this color... There is a small preserve near me, and when I was driving up, I saw this BFly against the grey gravel of the drive. The colors just popped out because of the BG, but it was not desaturated, it was the way it was...

    Hi Mitch,
Like the colors and the angle of the butterfly. Glad to see you enjoying the flood filter again.

With the butterfly pretty well beaten up I like the reflection better than the insect. Mitch, you need to take out flood insurance....
