Something different from my favourite location - a Reed Cormorant enjoying the warm rays of the sun. I like how the light has brought out the colour and feather detail on him.

Hey Stu, gorgeous details in the blacks, very sharp and perfect head turn. Like that red eye and the pose a lot and how the light has brought out a nice sheen.
    I like this a lot!

    Very nice Stuart!

I agree, I fund photographing these guys with more light brings out their beautiful plumage, Very nice details, I especially like his head area and eye.

I would tone down the bright spots on his wings if it were mine. I find my eyes are drawn to them.

I couldn't agree more, these guys "SHINE" in the sun light. Great turn back look and what a nice bg. TFS

Stunning photo of this sunbather Stuart, with such a great look back at you. Agree about toning down the bright spots.

Hey Stu, EXP, pose, and SH spot on. I would have liked just a bit less head turn; I prefer square to the imaging sensor for over the shoulder poses. It looks like the little cormorants that we saw in Greece.

Good one, Stu. Great textures and could only be Mankwe with that perch!
