Great light here and good technique capturing the flight image. Though someone would prefer the near wing completely down, I like the back wing down and being able to see the birds body and details.
Beautiful egret Judy! I personally would prefer lightening portions of the image, particularly the sky which seems too dark. You are indeed lucky to live in Fort Myers. Good luck with birds this season!
Oh, and as was mentioned previously this is a Great Egret. You may already know, but there is actually a white morph of the Great Blue Heron that is often referred to as the the "Great White Heron". It is a bigger bird, with a bulkier bill and lighter legs. They are seen in the Florida Keys and Everglades National Park and seldom wander as far north as Fort Myers.
