    John:

    A big welcome to BPN!

I have seen lots of bee eater pictures, but never such a tight string of them. Unusual to get so many of them looking the correct way (angle of heads)
    Well exposed, nice background.

Be sure to include your camera details, any post processing done.

Please also post at the 1024 x800 limits as it really makes it easier to properly critique the image.

This link details how to post images for best results: http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...m-Time-to-Time.

    Look forward to more

    Cheers

    Randy

Awesome image! Light, colours and BG are great. Seeing all these stunning birds like this is pretty amazing! Needs some more sharpening.

What an amazing first pose. I have never seen this many Bee Eaters on the same perch. I like how half are posed one way, and the other half the opposite. Great BG, lovely light, nice perch. You have it all here. It just needs some sharpening.

Welcome to BPN John, and a great first post to start your journey. Colours look spot on, and just love the similar poses. The BG is pretty neat, and agree, seeing this posted larger would look even better. Remember to critique on other members images too. Where was this taken John?

    Default Bee Eaters Redux

Thanks for the comments. The website I use to host my pix sometimes soften the images. Is this better?

By the way, it was shot with a D300s using a 500VR with 1.4 converter f/6.3 at 1/100 at ISO320. We were just coming around a corner and there they were, no time to play with camera settings. Could only get two shots in before a another vehicle got too close and scared them off. Should have pushed the ISO to get a higher shutter speed.

This is at 1200x800. PBase still softens it too much.

Thanks for the feedback John. Your repost in pane # 8 is too large on the horizontal side. The max posting size is 1024 x 800. Having said that, due to your size being too large, I think the system reduces it automatically, and thus you will lose sharpness.

What a lovely first post. I love how half are looking one way and the other half the other way. I also like how the little one #3 is squished in. great colors and repost is better re:sharpness,
