Here's another one from Newfoundland. The Cape Saint Mary's ecological reserve is a must visit for any bird lover. 70,000 seabirds nest there. It is a crazy place!

    Glenn,

Beautiful capture with nice combination and tone of colors. Good sharpness all over. Like the slightly tilted head, and the fact that the black pupils are still looking at you. Top of the upper bill seems a bit bright.

Love the focus of the eyes. Very nicely captured.
The top of the bill does seem a bit blown but that might be difficult to recover.

    Hi Glenn,

I love the inquisitive look the bird has with it's head slightly tilted. Love the eyes and background. Nicely done.

I love the eyes rotated towards you, very cool! I also like the tilt of the head. Techs are spot-on, and good comp with the eyes up high in the frame.

Never met a gannet I didn't like! and this is a real beauty. The exposure is perfecto and such white detail. I really like the beautiful blues with the wisp of the cloud in the BG. love the butterscotch sides. TFS, wonderful.
