This was taken here close to our home here in Equus. It has been a real privelehe ts watch them build their nest ,feed , fly out to protect themselves against other birds and then of course to sleep. They are such beautiful little birds but not much time to rest as they are continually on the alert.

Cool beans Judy. You don't see too many flight shots of these little owls. Nicely done. I like the top view of the wing spread showing off all it's color and pattern.

Very nice image, Judy. Ditto the comments above. The bird looks a bit soft on my monitor.

I'd really like to have these guys close by. My few hours with them in FL were great. Real nice pose and expression on the face, but something looks off to me. Is this a large crop or processed for bad light?

No Jim it was not a big crop but the lighting was very poor all day in Boyton Beach and difficult to get just what you wanted. I was so thrilled to catch this fella in flight that I couuld not resist posting it. I edited under WB as taken not custom Perhaps that could make a difference. I will have to go back and try. Thanks for the comments Jim.

Wow, I am jealous of this JL! Great pose, a bit soft but I would be excited too. Can I come down and shoot with you?
