We saw lots of raptors on a recent trip. This is one of 5 Spotted Harriers that we came across while doing creek line bird surveys.

    7d, 500mm HH, 1/3200 @ 5, iso 400, EV + 1/3.

    Thanks Tom

Absolutely stunning. Love the wingspread and the direct gaze. Might try to tone down the bright area on the belly and bump up the contrast a tiny bit but otherwise no nits,

    Hi Tom,

Nice capture of this bird in flight. Good comments by Gail, I like the view of the underside of the wings along with the nice tail spread. I find myself wishing for a little less of a head turn to show only one eye or more of one to show both eyes more clearly. Either might have enhanced an already nice image. My only other comment is that for my personal taste there is too much negative space to our left. A pleasing image, thanks for sharing.

    Regards,

    Phil

Wicked flight image but much too light. Pulled down the curve, Linear Burn on the bright parts of the birds near wing, and pulled down the curve some more.

Yep like the repost Arthur. I'm happy with the comp - I used to crop realy tight and feel there is space that is being flown into here. Thanks Gail and Phil for stopping by and taking the time to comment. Just had my one year mark since picking up a camera and I enjoy every minute of it. Still learning.
