    Default Manhattan Skyline Illustrated

I started with an in-camera vertical pan blur. I decided to try to make an illustrated look from the original image. I used poster the find edges and the poster edges filters in PS. I also used Nik Color Efex. I decided to leave the color temp. a bit on the cooler side. I also chose not to add a small black pixel border around the image as I am not fond of them.

Don't know why, but I think of (and hear) Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue when I look at this work. Original!

So very big city, urban looking. Glad you omitted the black. I think it would have detracted from the look you were going for. I like it!

Denise, a unique...and beautiful...image. I'd like to see a larger version of this...so many subtle colors, so much fine detail...and I love the pier moving diagonally across the foreground. Very nicely done!

Denise, this is very interesting. I like the illustrated look and it reminds me of Rhapsody in Blue also

    Denise,

Greetings. Very cool. I like the illustration look... perhaps, a bit of sharpening? or maybe it's the small jpeg. In any event... good show!

    Cheers,

Denise, I think the cooler colors are perfect for city buildings. You found a way to make NY City lovely and interesting. Good job!

Denise, I rate this one of your best - simply outstanding. Just love the blue and purple hues in this, and the surrounding white BG makes them pop even more. Big congrats here.
