Default Front focussing - canon 40D

I have two Canon 40Ds and one front focusses (noticably so with a 500MM). Is there any way to adjust, or do I just use manual focuss? Help please.

    thanks
    John

there is no way to adjust front focus with a 40D other than sending the camera and lens to Canon for calibration.
