The feather detail is lovely. The light is a bit harsh and the environment a bit mucky but that is real life. Great HA and body position. I might tone down the 2 bright bits of grass to the left of the bird,

That's indeed a handsome bird. I find the specular highlights in the background a little distracting.
I think this image would have benefited from a lower shooting angle and maybe some flash to soften the light.
This surely is a handsome capture....Agree with Gail about harsh light being reality...I usually try and reduce brightness and contrast of BG while applying NR on BG.

nice pose and sharp details. I agree with Luis about using FF to soften the light.
