    Default Flower Play

Jpeg kinda slaughtered this one (too much fine detail), but here it is anyway...

Started with a shot of 4 dahlias... a series of topaz simplfy, clean & LAB curves got me to a chiaroscuro, cartoon... flipped, scaled, cropped, merged (mostly lighter color) my way to the final... (maybe 50 layers )

    Thanks for looking.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

    Hi Michael,
Very colorful & energetic design you have created. I only wish for a bit of room on both the left & right side of the image. Of course that is a matter of personal preference. Nice job & worthy of the 50 layers or so.

Michael, Nice job with all the layers, it really has a nice punch to it. I like the way the dahlias seem to be exploding throughout the frame.

This must be mind boggling at a larger size! Great how the flowers multiply and expand as one moves outward from the center. 50 layers would probably explode my computer !

    Susan, Denise, Indranil, Hazel, Nancy,

    Thanks much for the comments...

    Hazel, Chinatown... exactly

Nancy, I actually had to downrez a couple of times... I used to make large panos for grins (I think I topped out at about 500MP...) but quit since I never printed one large (hence the downrezing). Yep, does stress the computer, I'm due to upgrade soon ...

    Cheers,

    -Michael-
