    Default Eastern Bluebird & Chick

    I photographed this Male Eastern Bluebird feeding his chick and applied a round of Adobe PB and Topaz Clean, adjusting the strength of the effect via lowering the duplicated layers opacity. I used the History Brush in Photoshop to bring back the original eyes in the birds.

    Hi Susan, Absolutely great moment captured. The filter rendering is great with lots of detail in a pleasing,soft way. Beautifully muted backround,great head positions with the addition of a catchlight in each of the subjects eyes that are sharp.
    The timing is perfect and kudos on an excellent image.

    Susan,

    This is wonderful. The pic is great, and your use of filters is very creative with the subject matter.

    What a wonderful photo! The attitude of the birds, the food, the open beak, the colors, the filter, all work to make a lovely image.

    Hi Susan;

    This is so cool - a cliche, I know, but those were the first words that popped into my head! It has the feel of an oil painting, with the eyes just making the image pop. You captured the moment beautifully...great color, beautifully smooth background. Loving it!

    Thanks to all for your kind comments! Witnessing this scene and getting a series of good straight sharp shots was very fulfilling, but applying some artistic flare to it and getting some nice comments & number of views really rocks! Wow... very humbling indeed, specially from this site & forum. thanks again so much!
