    Wonderful dorsal view and great detail captured. I'd guess this is a Whimbrel based on the bill shorter than a LBC, and the white shafts on the outer primaries. Lovely image in any case.

    Very nice. I agree about how well it stands out from the background. Even the thumbnail on the main forum page was striking.
    I also think it is cool that you have caught it in molt.
    It is a Whimbrel, BTW, which I think makes it even a harder image to have captured.

    Beautiful wing position and detail. Nice light too. We get one of these here at Ft DeSoto park in the spring. Great that you got it flying.

    Love the topside view and the fantastic IQ. I dream of having this kind of light where you can shoot at 1/2500 and still be able to use f 8.0.

    I love the topside pos here. You have lovely details. Looks like a Wimbrel rather than a LBC to me. The Wimbrel's bill is quite a bit shorter. Love the blue BG as well.
