Gemsbok on the run

Nikon D3 200-400VR 400mm, 1/50 at F16 ISO 100. Tried my luck with panning, like this one as the gemsbok head is sharp

Very good work on the oryx, Vivaldo, the head is very sharp and you have caught it in a good running pose. Would maybe try tone down the brightest part of the background to the left of the antelope in the frame. Amazing how much the oryx stands out from the background...unusual and strong shot.

You did well here Vivaldo! Sharp where it needs to be...I love that you can still see some quintessential Kalahari scenery in the BG.
I agree with Grant on toning down the bright dune in the BG, and would look at the colours as there is a very slight green/cyan feel to the oryx and FG??

Like this image a lot, but agree on trying to tone down the highlight area somewhat. I do see a slight colour cast, would be nice to remove it. Any chance of lifting the eye a little? That would really add to the overall image in my opinion.

Nicely done Vivaldo. I like just the touch more definition in the eye of the repost. You caught this guy in a great pose and with good separation from the BG.

I hate to disagree with the pros, but the first shot has more contrast. The black's are toned down on the repost, and to me any way, that's the beauty of the animal and a strong part of the photo. You could easily tone them back up.

Thanks again for comments and suggestions. Stan u have a point, the OP has slightly darker blacks and contrast. My choice would be something in the middle as I do prefer the eye detail.
