Beautiful photo. I like the comp, the bird and the perch. I would make one small change - remove the blurred branches.

Welcome here Craig and thanks a stack for your membership support. I love the image design here and I do not mind the o-o-f branches. The breast, throat, and flower look great. I am not so sure about the top of the head.... Maybe a 20% Linear Burn could be used to increase the density there. Easy to understand why you could not resist.

Lovely bird; lovely image. Good suggestion on the head. I don't mind the oof branches. I'm of two minds about seeing just this little bit of the lower leaves, but on balance I think its better with them than without them.

Gorgeous image here Craig! A bird I have yet to get a decent pic of .
I do find the image overall a tad green, maybe some playing around in "colour balance" will take this up a notch?

Thanks Laurie, Arthur, Bill, Rene, Morkel and Dan for your comments - much appreciated
Arthur - will try your suggestion regarding 20 % burn on top of head
Morkel - Will look into your comment about possible green tint
