Default Common Yellowthroat - 2nd image

This is the same bird that I posted yesterday, but has now obligingly turned around and posed with the sky for a background instead of the grassy bank. This one is less of a crop, and apart from making the sky a bit bluer than it really was, needed less pp-ing than the 1st image of this bird, which as a couple of people pointed out, was a bit over-contrasty and over-sharpened. I hope this image is better. I added a thin border to separate the pale sky from the white page for posting here - does that work? As it's a different image, although the same bird, I posted it as a new post instead of a reply to critiquing - hope that's OK.

Sharp and the perch and feet look really good to me.
I would maybe move the bird to the left instead of it being centered.
They are hard to get in the open and are really small, you did a really good
job getting one on an exposed perch like this.

I like the simple design of the image. I think Dan means moving the bird a bit to the RIGHT, but still not bad as is. This would have benifitted from some fill-flash IMO. A bit of a sharpening halo is visible in some areas. Boy, this fella is showing a bit of the wear-and-tear the breeding season inflicts on birds!

Love it and agree with the crop comments.

Loose the magenta cast in the sky and dive that totally white and make this a nice high key image :)

This is so much better than yesterday's bird. You can't do anything about the condition of the bird except get out there earlier next year and get a better bird but you will have a hard time getting one in the open.

You can make the processing changes suggested like changing the sky to white and moving it to the right and it will be a very good photo.
