Hi Murray,
While I like the B&W conversion...........not sure that the noisy/grainy BG is adding..........unless maybe you try and accentuate it even more!
Will be interesting to see what others think,

It's the blue channel

Thanks for your comment. You're right of course, it's the blue channel that contributes most of the noise. Here it is with the bg using only the red channel.
