Ruddy Turnstone checking a pen shell for a snack. Taken on the no-swimming beach on Fort Desoto, St. Pete, FL, a short walk on the beach north of the actual fort / and pier.

    My own "pro's".
Got low for pretty decent DOF. Nice orange legs, "crashing wave bokeh", & catchlight. And I just like the moment captured.

    Cons:
Wish for less oof junk around him. ~Especially around and behind his legs and behind the shell. And not liken the blade of grass near his butt. Unfortunately where it is it looks like it might be something else!

A little better head angle would have been nice, but he was pretty focused on his snack!

    Any other C & C?

    Thanks and
    Happy Shooting!
    Sean

    Hi Sean,

I would add to your CONS that the image is a little dark and I'm sure you can fix that using curves. Keep them coming!

Nice capture with the bird hard at work. Looks like an enjoyable meal, I agree with your comments and also with maxis re a little on the dark side. For me maybe a little off the bottom but not much.

Great angle and moment captured. The plumage looks rather gray and I might crop a bit off the bottom.
