I was reading old blogs of Artie's when I saw his picture of the upside down eagle and it reminded me that I had a similar pose.
We have had nothing but rain and cold this summer so all eagle shots I have from the last 2 months include gray skies.

Neat image Gail. Nice detail all over the bird. Certainly fits the theme. Good placement of the eagle in the frame. It looks like the eagle is locked on to something unfortunate.

That is awesome, Gail, nice capture, very unique pose and nicely composed with diagonal. Like the details, with head & face nice and sharp, love the intense, focused look - Jack puts it very well! Good job with the 70-200 + 1/4

Gail, one heck of a pose. And very well composed. not minding the BG color. A little boost of color sat might help. So will a round of USM on some of the soft areas.

Incredible pose Gail, and the eagle stands out very well against the overcast sky. Love the concentrated stare. Well captured.
