    Black-crowned Night Heron

    Van Wagners Pond Hamilton, Ontario Canada

    Nikon D200 ,Nikkor 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D ED VR AF
    1/1500s f/6.3 at 400.0mm iso320

    Taken in July, 06, one of my favourites of the year, and I won't forget this one as it was the first time Artie commented on one of my images., thanks Artie!!

    As someone who has done a moderate amount of bird shooting with the 80-400, I have to say this is an amazing photo. Not an easy lens for BIF. Wonderful job!
