    Going thru some archives and editing these days since it JUST WON'T STOP RAINING here. This is from last year at Gatorland . I was asking about the green herons when just like that the babies came out from hiding. This one was finding his way back into the shelter of the reeds.
    Added very little canvas for rotation and cropped about 10% off. Sharpened and softened the bright water reflections and removed a few as well. .

    I really like the walking pose and the remaining fluffy chick feathers.It would have been great if you could have move down a bit to get rid of some of the foreground mud he is walking on. good exposure and the whites look good despite the harsher light.Nice image,

    Wonderful image of a youg bird. Green herons are one of my favorites.

    What a wonderful capture of this cute guy. Like the raised foot and his hairdo. The colors work well together.
