    Default Lily Pads

I thought this grouping of lily pads was somewhat interesting. I'm still not sure it's that interesting, but it was fun to work on.............I used Liquify to stretch the bottom lily to cover a gap with the one above. NIK's Duplex to even out the lighting. Topaz Clean to smooth out the rough parts. A bit of NIK's Flux for grunge and a bunch of hand light balancing. So, here it is..................

    Hey Jay,
I'll go to macro and remove it now....but will echo my comments there......I love it! Great depth and textures....UR leaf looks like angry pac man! Very strong comp and the colors and depth are fantastic!

Jay, like you, I find myself drawn to lily pad compositions at times..and this one has an almost ethereal quality to it. I might lighten the left hand side pad just a little...open up the shadows some...and I wish the pool of water on the top pad were complete, but that's pretty subjective. Great color...strong composition...wonderful texture...well done! I'm liking the "grunge" style you're developing more and more...

    Thanks everyone.

Denise........I use NIK's Flux with Capture NX2. Assuming the PS pluggin works the same way, I always use the 2nd option in the Palette pull down window. A lot of my flux work is applied by pen, so I can alter just the areas I want.

John, thanks for the feedback.............always looking to improve the photo

I love the colors and textures and the nice composition. I love lily pads too and will be posting some soon but I never had any with that look and muted colors like that. Very nice

Real nice fine art compositon, Jay. Like the soft light glow, subtle colors & textures, and nice balance of light and dark. Well done!

Jay, sorry I'm late but I like this a lot. The design and colors are very interesting and I like your use of filters.

This is very, very interesting. I was drawn to the thumbnail as soon as I saw it. Love the lines and textures and colour palette you've achieved here.
