    Sharp and well exposed. You had the right idea using f/13, but it still wasn't enough for such a large bird in an awkward position. The image works well for this month's theme!

    Great theme shot and yes how frustrating that f13 still didn't cover it all. Sharp where really needed though. Really nice David

    thanks for contributing to the monthly theme. We've seen some real unique shots this month so far.

    Excellent shot...loved the pose and eye being visible is a huge plus. shooting angle, details, exp., BG, tight comp......liked everything.

    I agree with the need for more DOF. This is was the situation. I was in waist deep water and was fighting wakes from boats. My rig and I were bobbing about and I was afraid that anything less than 1/500 wouldn't cut it. No excuses, just an explanation. :) BTW, I loved every second of it!
