    Default Lotus Bud Flip

I used multiple layers and flipped this bud horizontally and vertically and rotated it. I then duplicated the entire image and with the transform tool made the top layer smaller to use it as my new center of my flower. I adjusted the hue and darkened it a bit for depth. For step by step illustrated directions you can check out an older blog post of mine here.

Denise, this is a nicely done image...lotus are one of my favorite subjects, and you've a wonderful transformation with your filtering and processing. The outer ring is particularly striking...I'm going to have to check out your blog post to see if I can get my head wrapped around the technique and go from there. Thank you for sharing!

Wow, that's awesome! I haven't done but a couple of flips and hope I can do at least one this week so I'll check out your tutorial.

Hey Denise, a superb thought process here, and just love the multiple layer of petals. I also like the use of the colours that pop nicely against the white BG. Great work.

This is great, Denise! Very creative flipping technique, nice combinations of color, and I really like the transparency in the multiple layers. Looks great against white BG. Nicely done!

Sweet Denise, and thanks for the tutorials! Nobody mentioned the diamond in the center, but I really like that...
