    A week ago I found this single dowitcher doing its "sewing machine thing" on the mudflats, among avocets and stilts. Only a minor crop, and not many other adjustments applied . . . and I intentionally left all globs of mud showing . . .

    Hi Wendell, good job on the dow - I'm guessing it is a short-billed? I like the pose and you got a pretty good low angle. Exposure and colors look good but I would add a bit of blue to the mid-range to make the water look nicer. Reflection looks pretty nice!

    Nice pose & lighting, I like this. My preference would be to have just a bit more space at the bottom, as the reflection feels a bit cramped
